- Provide adequate and accessible food to carrion eating birds of European Community interest.
- Reduce competition for food of the black vultures, red kites and Egyptian vultures against griffon vultures.
- Maintain adequate reproductive parameters of necrophagous bird species.
- Facilitate the re-colonization of historical breeding areas of the black vulture.
- Provide a network of supplementary feeding points for the black vulture, Egyptian vulture and Red kite vulture.
- Ensure that only target species benefit from the supplementary feeding program.
- Reduce existing conflicts between scavenger species and livestock farmers.
- Combat mortality associated with the illegal use of poison.
- Contribute to the revaluation of extensive cattle ranching.
