The Natural Heritage Foundation is a public foundation dependent on the Ministry of Development and Environment of the Junta de Castile y Leon (Regional Government). Its functions includes the management of Park Homes, which are reference centres in the region for providing information about natural areas and interest zones, in addition they host exhibitions, a team of monitors impart environmental education courses. In 2013, more than 450,000 people visited these centres. The dissemination program to reinforce natural values and promoting natural spaces are other functions entrusted to Natural Heritage.
